Southern Marin Agents is an advertising directory. Agents can pay for placement, and paid placement affects how prominently an agent appears. A listing or feature is paid advertising, not an endorsement, ranking of quality, or guarantee of results. We never charge buyers or sellers to use the Site.
01How we make money
The Site is supported by the real estate agents who advertise on it. Agents can choose from different placement options, including a complimentary basic listing and paid tiers that offer greater visibility:
- Basic Listing (complimentary). A free, compact entry with the agent's name, firm, specialty, and contact details.
- Featured Agent (paid). An enhanced placement with a full profile, larger presentation, and grid billing on the city pages an agent selects.
- Premier Agent (paid). Our most prominent placement, including top billing, a hero advertisement, a town spotlight, and inclusion on Concierge referrals for the agent's town.
We may also earn from related advertising or sponsorship. We do not earn commissions on real estate transactions, and we are not paid by buyers or sellers.
02How paid placement affects what you see
Because paid placement is part of how the directory works, it influences the order, size, and prominence of what you see. Specifically:
- Paid tiers generally appear above and more prominently than free listings.
- Premier and Featured agents may receive hero banners, spotlights, and top-of-grid positions that free listings do not.
- Concierge introductions may prioritize agents who hold a paid placement for the relevant town.
- The number of paid placements per town is limited, so prominence is also a function of availability, not merit alone.
Where practical, paid placements are identified as advertising or by their tier (for example, a "Premier Agent" or "Featured" label).
03What "curated" means
We describe the directory as "curated" because we apply editorial judgment to who appears and how the Site is presented, and we ask agents for information about their experience. However, "curated" does not mean that placement or order reflects an independent, objective ranking of which agent is "best." Placement is influenced by whether and at what tier an agent pays.
04A listing is not an endorsement
The presence of an agent on the Site, at any tier, is advertising. It is not:
- An endorsement, recommendation, or certification by Agent Mojo, LLC.
- A guarantee of the agent's qualifications, honesty, performance, or results.
- A statement that the agent is superior to agents not shown, or shown lower.
